6G OPENSEC

The 6G-OPENSEC project is a NextGenerationEU initiative focusing on enhancing the security and trustworthiness of 6G networks. Funded by the Spanish Ministry for Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation and the European Union, the project has comprised three subprojects, each addressing specific aspects of 6G network security and trust management.

•    6G-OPENSEC-SECURITY, Secure network slice manager for open and disaggregated 6G networks.
•    6G-OPENSEC-TRUST, DLT-based trust management for open and disaggregated 6G networks.
•    6G-OPENSEC-KEYS Quantum key distribution for security in open and disaggregated 6G networks.

The Eviden R&D Spain SNS Team participated in the first two projects as part of a consortium of three industrial partners led by CTTC: Eviden, Telefónica, and Optare.

In this context, the Eviden team has developed a Security / Trust SLA & Policies (S/TSLA&P) Manager, one out of the four main modules that compose the Security / Trust 6G Network Slice Manager which was developed collaboratively in the project. The main objective of the S/TSLA&P Manager is to centralize and harmonize the definition of quality of service in terms of security/trust metrics, as well as the policies required to achieve such service quality and subsequently, the level of security/trust.

The project's final results will be presented in a journal publication to be submitted to the IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society.
