The Ledger uSelf suite of self-sovereign identity components from Identity Management and Privacy Team has achieved a major breakthrough with its passing of highly demanding European Blockchain Services Infrastructure - EBSI Wallet Conformance Testing. The solution is now listed among the very select list of technology providers that are conformant to EBSI specifications.
The numerous tests that have been successfully passed attest to the fact that the wallet solution meets certain standards of performance and functionality, whether it is an organizational wallet (server-side components) that can issue or verify the authenticity of digital credentials (only 14 entities have managed to pass all 3 tests for this type of wallet), or an individual (holder) wallet that can request such credentials to be issued to it and later present them to service providers (this individual wallet is provided as a mobile Android app). The Conformance Test assesses the ability of the wallet to handle credentials assigned by a mock issuer and return them to a mock verifier.
This is further relevant as the solution is now certified to have a high level of maturity and being interoperable at EBSI level with other solutions following the same technical specifications, which are also directly related to an important subset of the protocols and standards being considered for the European Digital Identity Wallets ecosystem (eIDAS 2.0).
The fact that our solution is now publicly listed by EBSI is a very important achievement resulting from years of work in European projects related to digital identity, and puts Atos-Eviden in an excellent position to offer its technology for the new self-sovereign identity to customers and business partners.
