The project PENELOPE, where Eviden led the workpackage 1 and task 2.1, held its Final Review on 8 May, ending after four and a half years of work involving Data Space R&D team colleagues.

At the Final Review the consortium presented the outcomes of the project consisting of more than 40 technologies developed and validated in real-world pilot scenarios. PENELOPE has demonstrated the feasibility and effectiveness of innovative technologies for producing large components. The main challenge was developing a common methodology to solve manufacturing problems in different contexts, such as robotic/centralized environments or highly manual ones.

Eviden's contribution has been essential to the project, from collecting requirements, technologies, and data flows from all pilots to implementing the Digital Thread, which allows to define new workflows, store all involved data, and interact with external systems.
