New project WE BUILD has officially kicked off on September 3rd in Amsterdam. The WE BUILD Consortium is a large-scale, European collaboration consisting of public authorities, private companies, academic institutions, and technology providers represented by more than 180 organisations from 26 countries.

Together, they aim to design, implement, and test a trusted digital business identity ecosystem based on the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDIW) framework. The overall cost of the project is 26,8 M€, with an EC co-funding contribution of 13,4 M€.

R&D Spain Identity Management and Privacy team participates in WP2 Wallet for Business and WP4 General Capabilities, focusing on issues including technical infrastructure: wallets, PID/LPID, trust services and specifically in the Architecture Group liaising with some use cases (e.g. Dataspaces) and Trust Registry Infrastructure Working Groups. 

R&D Spain contributes its expertise and experience with EUDI wallets, acquired through previous large-scale pilots such as DC4EU (Digital Credentials for Europe), to this large-scale pilot project, as well as to APTITUDE, which begins in October 2025. As the European Digital Identity Wallet ecosystem enters a decisive phase, with Member States expected to deliver the first wallets to citizens by the end of 2026, Eviden will contribute directly to these efforts. IMP's work will be in full alignment with the latest specifications and standards; this will allow the company's decentralized identity solutions to benefit from all the knowledge and experience in the project. It will also allow this work to be recognized by many key stakeholders in this field across the EU.

WE BUILD will be joining the EC-organised EU Wallets Summit 25 Testing Event in Brussels on 10-12 December, 2025.
