On November 13, the European Big Data Value Forum (BDVF) hosted in Copenhagen the workshop “Shaping the Future of Extreme-scale Urban Mobility Data Analytics as a Service: The EMERALDS approach”, marking the final event of the EMERALDS European Commission project.
The session explored how data-driven innovations are transforming urban mobility services. EMERALDS showcased its toolset for processing and analyzing large-scale spatio-temporal data streams, validated through pilot deployments across Europe. These solutions aim to support stakeholders in managing high-volume, high-velocity, and high-variety mobility data.
We introduced the Mobility AI as a Service (MAIaaS) platform developed within the project. Our presentation covered the concept behind MAIaaS, detailed the system architecture, and demonstrated the platform in action—showing how one of the AI/ML services created in the project can be deployed into production. This participation highlights Eviden’s role in advancing scalable AI solutions for urban mobility, contributing to the European vision of data-driven, sustainable transport ecosystems.
The BDVF is the flagship event of the European Big Data Value Association (BDVA), bringing together industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers to shape the data-driven economy in Europe. It serves as a key platform within the European Commission’s research and innovation ecosystem, fostering collaboration on topics such as AI, data spaces, and digital transformation aligned with Horizon Europe priorities.
