Multi-morbid complex chronic conditions (CCCs) are highly prevalent in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and timely and preventive care is essential. RE-SAMPLE will improve CCC disease management by creating a knowledge base of multimodal data from health records, clinical studies, expert and patient knowledge and guidelines, and extend this with state-of-the-art Real World Data collection. Predictive modelling through privacy-preserving Artificial Intelligence (AI), will increase the understanding of CCCs including the interdependence of multi-morbidities, and evidence for effective interventions for CCC disease management. As such RE-SAMPLE will act upon the need for diversified, personalized care to alleviate the overall societal and economic burden of these CCCs.

Our role

ATOS is responsible for developing clinical data services considering the aggregation of patient-specific data stored into a federated patient record based both, on the pilot site but also on the real data contexts RWD, and the availability of data in accordance with the HL7 FHIR standard and encoded with medical terminologies such as Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine – Clinical Terms (SNOMED CT).
Moreover, ATOS defines and implement a framework considering the rules governing the collection and combination of RWD for specific patient-collected data either taken at the hospital or at the patient’s home. Hence, Atos provides GDPR security, scalability and GDPR services for the aggregation of information for analysis and extraction of characteristics which are key elements nowadays to ensure quality and secure services.
