TANGO participated in the session “Data Spaces across industries: sustainable and secure data management, use and re-use of data” in the European Big Data Value Forum (EBDVF 2024).
The EBDVF is the flagship event of the European Big Data Value and Data-Driven AI Research and Innovation community that brings together industry professionals, developers, researchers and policy makers from all over Europe and other regions of the world to advance policy actions and industrial and research activities in the areas of Data and AI. This year edition took place in Budapest, Hungary from 2-4 October 2024.
The session brought together five Horizon Europe clusterized projects (GLACIATION, MobiSpaces, TANGO, TEADAL and TRUSTEE) from the topic HORIZON-CL4-2021-DATA-01-01 (Technologies and solutions for compliance, privacy preservation, green and responsible data operations).
After a short introduction by the organisers, a representative of the Data Spaces Support Centre presented the intersections between the Horizon Europe projects and the Data Space initiatives.
The next slot consisted of a panel discussion between the five projects, which as a next action compromise decided to create the brand new “GreenBridge DataSpace Cluster”, which will look for synergies and produce a white paper to define common requirements, establish best practices and set practical recommendations.
These recommendations are intended to pave the way for the deployment of data spaces across different sectors, providing user-friendly, safe, trustworthy, compliant, fair, transparent, accountable and environmentally sustainable collection, storage, processing, querying, analytics and delivery of data.
