Aims to develop and deploy a Future Media Internet delivery platform for media delivery supporting personalised, interactive, mobile, and localised (PIML) workflows.

The FLAME platform provides a leap through capabilities for low latency distributed computing as well as content over a 5G-enabled programmable infrastructure, providing the user with faster access to media and services, lower latency, and higher personalisation of the experience through closer media processing.

Through the platform’s fast and dynamic service request routing capability, media service providers will have fine-grained control overload and therefore costs across the network. This offers the potential to significantly reduce the overall costs while ensuring the fast availability of services towards end-users.

Our role

We lead the WP4, which consists of the development of the FLAME platform components. Moreover, we are developing the media components or FMSs (Foundation Media Services), which are instantiated as containers on the FLAME platform to build more complex media service chains, based on the virtualization FLAME approach.
