
The Adra-e project, a Coordination and Support Action in which R&D Spain has been involved for the last three years, successfully ended in September 2025. The MarCom and Trustworthy AI teams,contributed to different stages of the project, which aimed to fuel and consolidate the operations of the new European entity Adra (AI, Data, and Robotics Association).
Adra is meant to channel the activity of the European Partnership on A, Data and Robotics “to boost European competitiveness, societal wellbeing and environmental aspects to lead the world in researching, developing and deploying value-driven trustworthy AI, Data and Robotics based on fundamental European rights, principles and values”.
During the final review held online on September 30, the partners explained how has Adra-e delivered strategic tools, community assets, and policy-relevant insights to strengthen Europe’s ADR ecosystem.
Over three years, Adra-e mobilized stakeholders, shaped strategic agendas, and laid the groundwork for long-term impact. All key products have now been transferred to ADRA for continued use and development.
Key outcomes include:
- SRIDA: Strategic agenda-setting document for ADR research and innovation priorities, updated with actionable recommendations and supported by a dedicated methodology.
- AI-powered Robotics Roadmap: A forward-looking strategy to guide European leadership in robotics innovation.
- ADR Awareness Centre: A central hub with 200+ resources for education and outreach, integrated with AI-on-Demand.
- Trust Label methodology: A checklist for trustworthy AI systems, aligned with the AI Act and ready for future certification schemes.
- Events portfolio: Flagship events like the ADR Forum, FutureReady and the European Convergence Summit institutionalized in ADRA’s calendar.
- Ecosystem mapping tool: A dynamic cartography of ADR actors and trends, maintained by an Adra Topic Group.
- Technical Standards Group: Liaison with CEN/CENELEC and support for regulatory alignment and sustainability.
- Digital infrastructure: Adra’s web platform, CRM tools and collaborative assets built and transferred for long-term use.
- Communication suite: 5,000+ followers, 35 newsletters, and support for 30+ events with full branding and logistics.
