TANGO, a large-scale initiative involving nearly 40 partners and coordinated by Eviden, has successfully concluded after three years of work. The project brought together colleagues from the Applied AI and Identity Management & Privacy teams, and focused on enabling trustworthy, privacy-preserving, and energy-efficient data sharing platforms.
Over its duration, TANGO delivered a variety of components integrated with existing connectors and aligned with the latest Data Space Business Association (DSBA) guidelines, supporting interoperability and potential market adoption. During the final review on November 14, our team presented the overall achievements and the work done in WP5 on Artificial Intelligence.
Key outputs of TANGO include:
- The modular, integrated TANGO Platform for trustworthy and privacy-preserving data sharing.
- Over 25 advanced components for data exchange and analytics, fully aligned with the latest DSBA guidelines.
- Al tested and validated through seven pilots across six smart domains: banking, manufacturing, retail, autonomous vehicles, public administration, and tourism.
Eviden played a pivotal role throughout the project. Beyond its coordination leadership, the AAI team enhanced the Federated Learning tool and provided MLOps and AutoML support for the pilots. The IMP team was instrumental in delivering the Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) agent and CP-ABE components (core elements for onboarding and authentication) and in integrating the FIWARE Data Space Connector, used in almost all pilots.
These achievements reinforce Eviden’s commitment to Trustworthy AI (including our federated learning solutions) and support ongoing and future initiatives in Data Spaces and identity management.
Ahead of the final review, each component and pilot provided dedicated video demonstrations showcasing their purpose and functionality, which was very well received. The European Commission Project Officer and reviewers commended the quality of the results and encouraged partners to explore sustainability strategies and future research opportunities.
