Aims to deliver predictive security services that span multiple IoT platforms and networks of smart objects and are based on security building blocks at both the edge and the core of IoT systems.
The project will provide implementations of security data collection, security monitoring and predictive security mechanisms to offer integrated services for risk assessment, compliance auditing against regulations and directives (e.g. GDPR, NIS, ePrivacy), as well as to support the IoT developers.
Our team plays a key role as a technology provider in the use case about Connected and Automated Driving (CAD) with the partner IDIADA. In this use case, vehicles are integrated with a new generation CAD platform implemented by IDIADA. The Unit will research on Firmware Over the Air Updates for cars, sensors analytics, and malfunctions detection and prevention, providing robustness to autonomous vehicle against possible hackings, to determine which security tasks and actions can be directly done in the autonomous vehicles, and which ones will make use of the security cloud services that need to be integrated into the vehicle. Real tests with autonomous vehicles in the IDIADA infrastructure are expected to be achieved.
The Cybersecurity Unit is in charge of developing new cybersecurity services for monitoring, prevention, and reactive actions for different kinds of cyberattacks.
