The Industrial Data Intelligence research area focuses on data-driven business transformation in economic sectors such as energy, manufacturing or transportation through the development of innovative elements and services that enables a decentralized cloud and data infrastructures as new approach to address sovereign data value creation challenge for them. The research area is helping in the foundations of dataspaces, by enabling trustworthy, sharing and aggregation of data and insights based on AI that reinforce the European economic and industrial sectors competitiveness.

Data & HPC Software

The Data & Intelligence Software Unit develops and maintains cutting-edge software solutions for analysing and using data to make informed decisions and deliver actionable intelligence from data assets. The unit plays a key role in contributing to the BDS HPC (High Performance Computing) roadmap through products such as CLARY (CLuster diARY) and PROMA (PROactive MAintenance).

Data Space

To enable a thriving data economy, the European Commission has issued a series of strategy papers and regulations that emphasize data access neutrality, portability, interoperability, and the avoidance of lockIn effects. In order to reach these ambitious goals, It proposes the establishment of common European Data Spaces following FAIR data principles, ensuring findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability, while prioritizing cybersecurity.
